Harrison's wooden sculpture, "Transducer" and "Erosion Series" prints are part of the Art Council's Knock on Wood Exhibit now on display in New Albany. Click here for more details. Keith Kaiser of Fox 41 (WDRB.com) interviewed a number of the Knock on Wood III artists in the early morning of January 20th, including Harrison who gave a quick wood block inking demonstration. Although, this segment was not archived on the site the other segments can be seen by clicking here. We would like to extend our thanks to the the Louisville Visual Art Association's Artebella, which will feature Susan's work on October 3rd. Here is the link for those who have not subscribed yet to this daily art feature. Sign-up for Artebella Daily
We also would like to thank the News and Tribunes's editor Jason Thomas for the "giant hug right back," writer Daniel Suddeath for the upbeat article and photographer Christopher Fryer for his photographs of the studio, the art and the artist. We appreciate the community support we are already receiving. http://issuu.com/nt_publications/docs/09182014_soinweb We are so thrilled to be a part of this amazing event which is going to open up over 60 artist studios in the Kentuckiana area. I will be exhibiting the studio renovation before and after shots as well as showing a variety of my 2-D and 3-D work.
I also will be continuing with my Personal Flotation Devices interactive photography project by having my green screen, life preservers and camera on site for those who would like to have their picture taken while wearing one of my soft sculptures. All are welcome to participate in this fun and eye-opening event. Click here if you would like to know more about this event and others sponsored by the Louisville Visual Art Association. |
